Faure - Requiem - Cluytens

oudere opname!

This recording has replaced my Giulini/Battle version of the Requiem as my go-to choice. While it is a toss-up between de los Angeles and Battle, I feel Cluyten's conducting holds sway over Giulini. The tempos and the sound just seem right here. Highly recommended!
