Post Description
Corrina Repp, hailing from Portland, Oregon, is already known for her melodic sweetness and is finally revealing her new album The Pattern of Electricity. Eclectic had the opportunity to travel through the sweet notes with punching sudden rhythms of Corrina’s last masterpiece.
The album is a conjugation of somewhat tantric music that sweeps you off your feet, it calls you as if it already knew what you were looking for. With her songs we cross lands that are too far away to be real and it seems like she casted a spell on you with a mystical chant that evocates our most secret desires.
The eerie hint notes of the organ on tracks like Long Shadow don’t transport you to a church but instead to a secret cult basement (like in the movie Sound of My Voice) in which Corrina tricks you to be born again and feel like you have never felt before. Being reborn, being able to hear her graceful yet tenacious chants is what this album is all about, realization. It’s the never ending quest of the apotheosis of life.
Her voice gives us goose bumps, the chords in the guitar and violin a tingling sensation in our heart but don’t worry you’re not having a stroke, you were just bewitched.
